Training and Development is dedicated to providing quality educational programs to enhance personal and professional development for LSU Health Shreveport employees.
Project CARE
Project CARE is the workplace education program that helps employees pursue and reach both professional and personal education goals. Our on-campus learning lab provides individualized instruction and online training to all LSU Health Shreveport employees. In Project CARE, employees can learn new skills and improve existing skills through a variety of classes and trainings. Project CARE is dedicated to helping employees reach their goals by providing quality programs and resources.
New Employee Orientation (NEO)
On the day the hiring process is completed, a Human Resource's Staffing representative or the Nurse Recruiter schedules, in writing, a date on which the newly hired employee must attend a New Employee Orientation (NEO) program. New employees are required to attend NEO within 30 days of their employment date. NEO programs are held in the Medical School Auditorium and begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. Scheduling questions are handled through the Staffing Offices. Mandatory Training Programs
Your position with LSU Health Shreveport requires additional annual mandatory training. Human Resources facilitates the Campus Education Day (CED) and CED On-Line training programs, as well as the Louisiana Department of State Civil Service Minimum Supervisory Training programs for LSU Health Shreveport.
