COMPREHENSIVE PUBLIC TRAINING PROGRAM (CPTP)

The Comprehensive Public Training Program (CPTP) was established in 1979 by the Louisiana State Legislature to “upgrade professional, technical, and managerial skills of state employees.”

Louisiana's Department of Civil Service co-sponsors the program. Instructors are staff of Public Management Program, School of Human Resource Education and Workforce Development, LSU-BR or Civil Service staff.

Staff from the Louisiana Department of Civil Service present courses on Civil Service Essentials for Supervision, Performance Planning and Review, Documenting for Discipline, Controlling Absenteeism and Tardiness, Common Myths that Affect Good Supervision, and training for Human Resource professionals.

CPTP courses provide management development, supervisory training, and general application classes such as computer software and writing skills.

Register for any CPTP course by contacting our office.
