PeopleSoft Financials Upgrade Version 8.8 to 9.0

PeopleSoft Financials Version 8.8 will upgrade to Version 9.0 over the upcoming weekend.  The upgrade is mostly technical and will have minimal effects on the functional side.

The Financials upgrade will begin Thursday, February 4^th at 4:30 P.M.  Financials Production will not be available until Monday, February 8^th at noon.  At this time, PS9 Launcher will be required to access the production and reporting databases.

During the upgrade, the reporting database will be available and information updated and current through Thursday night, February 4^th. This will provide you historical and look up access in all modules.

The following Shreveport PeopleSoft support staff will be available during the upgrade should there be any questions or issues.

In addition to the local support are the resources of the PeopleSoft ERP Functional Support Group lead by Steve White and the HSC New Orleans PeopleSoft Technical and Development staff lead by Billy Jennings.  These groups, along with the LSUHSC-Shreveport staff, will be managing the upgrade through the “downtime period”, “go live restoration” and post “go live” support.

Extensive planning and testing has been performed to validate functional and data integrity.  We anticipate a smooth and timely transition to Version 9.0.
